Student Computing Support

Online, over the phone, or in person – we're here to help you navigate Wharton's technology environment.

Having world-class technology means more than clever programming and large-scale infrastructure. It requires technology that is accessible and meets the needs of our students and faculty. As much as we strive to provide software applications with interfaces that are intuitive and easy to use, we realize that Wharton students come from different backgrounds with different levels of technological expertise, and it's our job to work with our students to help them get the most out of our systems and services.

Support How You Need It, When You Need It

Wharton's Computer Consulting Help Desk in Jon M. Huntsman Hall F35 provides walk-in and phone support during scheduled hours (see SPIKE's Computing section for details). You can also schedule an appointment with one of our Computing Support Consultants if you want to bring in your laptop computer or discuss an in-depth problem. To help answer questions or resolve problems, the Computing section of SPIKE includes extensive documentation, a searchable knowledgebase, frequently asked questions, and news and updates on current issues. E-mail support is also available. Through these alternatives we provide the assistance you need to make the most of Wharton's technology services and infrastructure.

Looking for Your Feedback

We are always seeking to provide Wharton students with better tools and support to make learning and managing your time easier and more efficient. In addition to working with student IT support representatives and meeting MBA students in cohort lunch sessions with other school administrators, we welcome your feedback on how we are doing and how we can better serve you. Drop us a line at consultant@wharton.upenn.edu and let us know what we can do to help.

"At the Forefront of Technology"

"I'm someone who likes to use a lot of gadgets, and knowing that Wharton understands that and that they're willing to have staff help you hook up your PDA or find ways to make things more efficient technologically, it really seems like they're at the forefront of technology."

Stephanie Lyras, WG'08
