The IDEA Courseware Team offers a series of faculty training sessions to share teaching tools and best practices. Any teaching team member or staff are welcome to attend. Recordings of each Zoom-delivered webinar session will be shared with registrants, so feel free to register even if you can’t make it to the live session. Group work, when thoughtfully designed, is a powerful tool for fostering community, increasing engagement, and enhancing student learning across in-person, online, and hybrid course modalities. Group activities can improve knowledge retention and integration, while helping students to develop critical peer-to-peer collaboration skills. Live Webinar | Generative AI has created new challenges for assessing student learning, leaving many faculty anxious about giving high-stakes exams. This webinar will prepare attendees with strategies for reconsidering assessment options. We’ll provide an overview of the current technologies available at Wharton for both supporting and limiting student use of generative AI in learning activities and assessments. We’ll share strategies for intentionally designing assessments to evaluate student learning, including developing assignment-specific AI policies, matching assessment format with what is being assessed, and considering options for alternative assessment modalities.

Penn Libraries Canvas Workshops for Instructors
Our colleagues at Penn Libraries also host webinars about Canvas, running Jan 05-Feb 12, 2026.
While there might be slight differences in how Wharton classes are set up or additional tools Wharton teaching teams have access to, these Penn Libraries workshops include valuable information on basic Canvas use and features. All workshops will be held virtually on Zoom, and all registered participants will receive a copy of the recording.
