The IDEA Courseware Team offers a series of faculty training sessions to share teaching tools and best practices. Any teaching team member or staff are welcome to attend. Recordings of each Zoom-delivered webinar session will be shared with registrants, so feel free to register even if you can’t make it to the live session. Course Materials @ Penn Libraries with Leganto
On-Demand Video | Want to learn how to streamline access to assigned reading material for your students? Watch this demo of the Course Materials @ Penn Libraries system, hosted by Mia Wells from the Lippincott Library of the Wharton School. Mia will show you how to submit your syllabus to the library and how the staff there will build your customized reading list and load it directly into your course Canvas site. Beyond the list creation, you’ll also see how to flexibly edit and interact with the list if you want to make changes throughout the semester.

Live Webinar | At The Wharton School, aPlus+ Attendance currently serves as the primary self-service tool for tracking attendance and check-ins across courses, particularly at the graduate level. If you are interested in using the tool for the first time in a Wharton course, this training will serve as an introduction, along with helpful tips & tricks. Alternatively, if you have used aPlus+ in the past and would like a refresher on how to add this to a Canvas site for a new semester, this training is for you.

Penn Libraries Canvas Workshops for Instructors
Our colleagues at Penn Libraries also host webinars about Canvas, running Aug 14-Sep 12, 2025.
While there might be slight differences in how Wharton classes are set up or additional tools Wharton teaching teams have access to, these Penn Libraries workshops include valuable information on basic Canvas use and features. All workshops will be held virtually on Zoom, and all registered participants will receive a copy of the recording.
